Do you think God takes bets?
I was talking with a friend at work today, and I got off on this weird tangent, and I have to share it:
I have a thesis for you to contemplate: I think God might be a Gambler.
God took a bet. He made up a set of physical laws, set up the universe, and proverbially threw the dice (aka, the Big Bang). The bet? To see if life could exist based on the laws of physics he created. He had to wait a billion years or so, but he won.
But then I can hear the one who lost the bet: "yeah, but it took you how long? and it only worked on one mudball out of how many countless others. Do you really call that winning?"
And that supports my other thesis: that there must be more than one God... :)
(I'm sure someone else could write it better, but this is what I came up with. It sounded much better in person!)
