St Andrew's Cathedral
E showed me this hymn from the Hymnal book.
To date, I can't find the tune to this hymn but the words still mean lots to me.
(1)
When you take a look at me, if you don't like what you see,
Just remember in my way, i'm not set.
And if you think that I'm not always perfect all the time,
There is no need for you to really get upset,
For i'm changing every day in the things i do and say,
And my attitude and thinking better get.
So be merciful and kind and I'm sure you find
Just remember God's not finshed with me yet.
Chorus:
For we must learn to love each other.
We must forgive and learn to live for each another.
Yet we must learn to love each other,
For we are one in the Spirit of the Lord.
(2)
It's amazing every time I look back and find.
I'm not the same man I used to be.
In so many ways I've changed.
My whole life's been rearranged.
It's so plain I'm sure for every one to see.
For I do not think that I've come so far that I've arrived.
So you see there's no need for you to fret.
By the time that you've arrived,
I'll be right there by your side.
Just be patient, God's not finished with me yet.
(3)
When I take a look to you,
If I don't like what you do,
I'll remember that in your way you're not set.
And if I don't understand every little thing you plan, It's not my business, so I won't get upset,
For you are changing every day in the things you do and say,
Your attitude like mine will better get.
I'll be merciful and kind, and I'll try to keep in mind.
Just the truth that God's not finished with me yet.
