Technology and Education Paper September 27, 2004
In this assignment you will be writing a 100 word essay describing "How can the latest digital consumer electronics technology improve a student's education in your community."
Essays should focus on how the latest digital consumer electronics technologies in Samsung products could:
1) Support or improve the educational process (help teachers in their classrooms).
2) Enhance or increase the teaching tools of teachers.
3) Define the institution as a center of the community (make your school a more important place).
This looks eerily like “How does technology affect your life”? Use the information gathering skills you have used during the past month to help you research the Samsung technology line.
STEP 1:
Write a first draft using Word, following the guidelines set above. This is due before you submit your entry to the Samsung website (if you do).
STEP 2:
Peer edit your paper with two different people. These two people must write down their suggested changes and staple it to their final paper.
Step 3:
Print off and hand in a final draft to Mr. Short for your grade (before submitting to contest).
Step 4:
Log onto http://www.samsungusa.com and submit your paper for entry into the contest to see how you do. Who knows, you might win a great prize.
Your grade will not be based upon your submission to the contest. The contest is simply for you to see if you can win.
