Hate can be a very strong motivation for various things, but it is usually not the first choice anyone would go with.

Even if they are hot-headed motivations, they could still have desirable consequences. At least, one would hope the person knew how foolish their actions were before they had the courage to go ahead with them.

Imagine being so energetic and "fired up" about getting something done that you don't take the time to think about what could happen afterward, and you just go running into the situation recklessly. That is someone who is hot-headed.
