My first Halloween at Hogwarts...
Well today is going to be my first ever Halloween at Hogwarts, and my first in the wizarding world.
I must admit, it all seems similar to home. The students and staff here seem to see Halloween as a holiday rather than just another day like Muggle's do.
There are a few exceptions in the form of the Slytherins. But even they seem to want to use this day to Trick people which is a custom in all people's Halloween celebrations.
I also heard from braedon_dark that the feast they are putting on tonight is one to marvel at. I have taken a walk down to the great hall for some breakfast earlier, and it looked magnificent. They really do pull out all the stoppers for this.
I think i am going to enjoy being a student here.
I also can't wait to see what they do at Christmas.
That reminds me, some girls in my house were talking about the Yule Ball last night in the common room. It seems to be a thing of high importance, like the Prom's are in NYC. Not that i've ever been to one. *sighs* Buuut you need to get a partner, and seeing as the partner has to be female in my case, i am not looking forward to choosing.
Ok well i am going to try and finish off my charms essay.
