[Caesar's kind of puttering around the house; his fingers are cramped from them being wrapped around a quill for the better part of the day, and so he decides to go check up on Sena.
Only to discover that the boy isn't there.]
Dammit. Must have gone out the window or something.
[Since he's looking for a boy, he doesn't notice the cat at all.]
[Caesar starts at the rather loud meow, eyes immediately moving to the bed and the tangle of bandages. For a moment, he just stands there in surprise.]
I suppose you're right about that. [He laughs quietly as he unwinds a particularly obnoxious length of bandage from around the Sena-cat. The urge to scratch him behind the ears as he goes is ... well, it's kind of instinctive, really. Must be a human thing. Or a Caesar thing.
[And that feels really good. Sena starts purring without even realizing it. Keep going and you'll just have a purring lump of fur in your lap, Caesar.]
...really soon after the last one...but this isn't that bad.
[He finally manages to unloop the rest of the bandages from Sena's body, brushing them off to the side. The purring is cute, Sena. Really cute. Way to go, little dude. Since there's more of you unfettered, he's got a lot more kitty to pet.]
I'm glad it seems to be a benign experiment. After the last few weeks ... I don't know how well we'd do with another bad one.
[The only proper way to respond to that is more scrichin's. Both hands, even. Sena's idle speculation catches him off-guard, though, and he can't contain a snort of amusement.]
I can't imagine it would be very pleasant for them.
[Rumbling is cute, and therefore good. Here, Sena, under your chin looks like it could use some attention.]
Are you feeling okay? I mean ... you lost a lot of mass in an rather short period of time. Any sort of negative effects, I wonder? And I just realized you're talking in my head. Strange that I didn't notice that earlier.
[Oho, long Sena is looong? Caesar could do this for days, and the cute rumbly noises are only slightly distracting to his thought processes.]
That's good to hear. I wonder ... when they switched genders on us, Aya's back healed from the claw wounds he had. Perhaps the transformation fixed you up the rest of the way, huh?

Um ... Sena? Are you a cat?
Reply
Yeah...I guess. I was hoping I was still asleep and just having a really weird dream.
Reply
Uh ... wow. This is strange.
[And slowly, he starts the process of extracting the cat from the mess.]
You really got yourself in a bit of a bind, didn't you? Aya's going to freak out, you know.
...assuming he's not a cat, now, too. Another experiment, do you think?

...I wonder if someone who was allergic to cats turned into one, if they'd still be allergic to themselves...
[...hello, that was a very random thought, Sena.]

I guess it wouldn't.

Yeah. I actually feel...really good.
['Blissed out' is more like it.]
