I don't really have anything to say, but I am bored and I think I'll write about it. Boo-yah. I'm looking forward to going back to school, but I am nervous at the same time. Thomas and I went out to dinner on Monday night to Swagat, which was really fun. As I walked in the door, Thomas looked at me funny and said, "Anne, you have a ladybug on your boob." I almost died of laughter! I looked down and there she was, all cute and spotted. I flicked her off because she wouldn't fly away. I ordered chicken tikka masala, which was delicious, and I ate the leftovers for lunch/dinner the next day. Yum. Keen observation: my hands are really dry right now. Haha so anyway, after dinner, they were out of rice pudding. So we tried to go to Moonstruck, but they closed 2 minutes before we got there. After that, we wandered down to Haggen-Dazs but they were closed too! Shafted for dessert the same night, 3 times in a row. Bummer. But I had a cookie when I got home.
My last day at Intel is in sight, which is okay. I've made good money this summer, and I hope to save most of it during the year. Really, the only thing I'll need to pay for is books. I'm going to leave my f*cking debit card at home so I can't use it. That'll be better for me. I have yet to figure out how I am going to pay for food from my Ameritrade account, and how I'll get to the Oregon Symphony rehearsals the first week, but I'll discuss it with the 'rents soon (probably after I get back from Seattle). Wow, I really need to learn the 1812 Overture soon. I don't want to look like a dumbass when I play it with the OSO.
In other news, Mary and I have been house-sitting for my aunt and uncle's farm. It's been fun. They almost never leave because they have a horse and 2 dogs, and they work a lot, but I'm glad they went to the beach. Feeding Spencer (gorgeous boy horse) is cool because the barn smells so good (hay and horse poo...nothing better! I grew up with the smell, taking riding lessons with my aunt). Also, Colby and Dakota (the two Schipperkes) are such cute, fuzzy little bears and they're always so excited to see Mary and I. Dogs are better than cats, in general. That's the conclusion to this crazy little trip I've just written. Okay, later everybody...
