i have developed a horribly perturbing awareness of my left hand and its actions, or indeed inactions. it is a bit like when you think you are a good, fast, efficient typer, until you realise you actually peck away at the keyboard with your index fingers. then every time you type from then on you feel like some kind of gigantic three year old child. yes, often as i am performing some kind of activity with my right hand my left hand hangs limply to my side, making me feel like a semi inflated pirate with an unconvincing false hand. it is unpleasant in the extreme. has it always been this way?

also, does "half as short" mean the same as "half as tall"?
