Things are coming together.
Noteworthy/praiseworthy:
For the first time in two and a half years my husband has a permanent, full-time position. We, within three months, will have medical and dental coverage. He has a schedule and stats (days off that he's paid for...essentially a four-day weekend every six weeks). Although it is four on, two off, he'll have a lot of weekends off. He'll be working three sets of days (7AM - 3PM) and four sets of nights (11PM - 7AM). We'll have stability!
I can't even say how much this means. My dear husband walked around in a fog of disbelief yesterday - disbelief puntuated by the occasional, random excited exclamation of, "A position!"
Movin' on up, people. A bit of a shorter paycheque, but we'll have stability. And he still has the job at the hospital (on-call) so he wants to suppliment a couple of shifts per pay period there.
