I interviewed today for a position in Human Resources.
Being Interim Store Administrator/Communications Manager the past two months has been wonderful. I've learned so much, and the time away from the Operator's Booth was exhilerating. I realized that I clearly can't stay in there forever, so Carla, my Store Manager, and I have been talking about my future. I don't know that I want to become a Nordstrom "lifer" but I'm very content to stay where I am. This store is awesome, everybody is great and so supportive, and I am very happy I was able to come here, especially now that I know I have more opportunities and can truly spread my wings and actually work to my potential in an environment that's constantly challenging and new. So since tomorrow is my last day as Interim, I put my name in for the HR Assistant position. My interview was very positive, I think, and I've had extremely positive feedback from everybody who knows I put my name in.
I find out if I get the position tomorrow. I hope I do. I am definitely wanting the challenge and I could definitely use the raise. ;)
