Nights like this remind me why I left St. John's. And now it's here too. Now I know why I've been staying in a lot during the weekends. College is not the place for me to live. I need to live in an apartment, and find a girlfriend like me, because no one else is like me and I'm tired of taking care of all the drunk people just because I'm sober.
I think binge drinking is the perfect manifestation of someone's insecurities. There are so many people out there who drink just because they have no idea what to do. Their friends drink, and they can't deal with feeling excluded. And this is terrible, because these are the people who end up vomiting everywhere, and these are the people who swear off drinking for good, and these are the people who don't even know why they do it in the first place. Is your reality so harsh that you have to warp it every Friday and Saturday night? Is it just that hard to deal with?

Please don't reply to this with inane comments that try to defend your drinking. I'm not assaulting you. I'm not insulting you. I don't have a problem with social drinking. But I know too many people who, by the age of 20, have had serious problems with alcohol, and don't know how or why they do it.
*EDIT* wow, there were a lot of spelling and grammar errors in this. I was more tired than I thought.
