I've started going to the gym, regularly.
I've started going to gym many times in my life.
What's different?
This time I know I have to do it. I know that I will no longer look better, lose weight, or be stronger just by eating less food and walking 2 or 3 times a week. I'm almost 40, my family was not a healthy, athletic one, and weight has been a battle for my mother, and was for my grandmother. The difference is that I have finally submitted to my reality, and have excepted that it will likely always suck.
I started walking when I was in Dallas. It was helpful to have very good influence by ay of family that I was staying with. It was also helpful to realize that I could, in fact, work it into my schedule EVEN when I'm working 12-14 hours a day.
But it's never going to be easy or fun. And I have simply accepted it.
