[[open post, halloween]] seeing through golden eyes

The world seems larger then before, full of confusing noise and interesting smells. The animal broke into an easy trot as it searched. The smell of humans was strong - frail things that make terrible noises and kept smaller prey within close quarters, making helpless prey even easier to snatch.

The chickens clucked nervously as they could sense something outside their little house, and the clucking turned to a screech as the wolf leap on top of the shabby coop. It's weight easily crushed the flimsy structure, and it's jaws snapped around the neck of a cornered hen.

The strangled noises that the poor bird made, combined with the splintering of wood had caused a stir among the humans in the towering places as lights turned on, and people started to file out with long sticks, and little things that gleamed in the dark.

The wolf ran off with it's prize, as the humans hunted it - it leaped over flat wood and topple shiny cylinders, and it sprang up on top of the large cold thing and threw itself over the transparent barrier that would have cornered it if that large cold thing was not there.

The air suddenly rippled, and grew chilled as the gloomy, sweet place of stone vanished, and the wolf found itself in an even stranger place, full of even more people, but also with animals. It still held onto the dead bird possessively as it slinks away from the noise to find a safe place to eat, it's ears flat against it's skull.

Preferably away from that obnoxiously bright thing that flashed like fireflies.
