Sleep, cake, money, shoes, joint account and ducks - totally random stuff!

I officially have the sleepiest baby ever! April slept till 8.45 am, and she only woke up then cos the phone went. I was embarrassed to admit to the caller that I had been asleep. It was my MIL wanting to catch me before I went out!!! Before 9 am!

Despite nearly 14 hours sleep April wanted to go down for a nap again at 10.45 am!!
I only let her sleep for 45 minutes cos I wanted her to have a longer afternoon nap. "They" say that newborns need about 16 hours sleep, well April never slept 16 hours as a newborn, she sleeps more now than she ever did!

I got my cake delivered and the recipients seemed really pleased with it. I just hope it tastes as good. I would love to some training in cake decoration. One day.

As I am officially back at work and am on annual leave, I got paid today! Whoooo!!!! For the first time in 6 months. I feel rich! For only working 21 hours a week my salary is pretty good. I can now buy some new shoes for work.

Did I ever tell you that I went up a whole shoe size after having April? In the last 6 weeks of my pregnancy I was wearing size 8 flip flops or mules, my feet were so swollen I couldn't get my own shoes on at all. After having April I only went down to a size 7 so all my size 6 shoes are redundant. I had loads of shoes, not any more. :-(

Well after 4 1/2 years of marriage fraserspeirs and I are finally opening a joint current account. We have had our own current accounts and before we had April we split the bills. But now Fraz is the main bread winner we have to decided its time to be joint, so I get his money too!!! ;-) Seriously, it just makes paying bills and for food etc easier.

April told me this morning that the duck says "wack, wack".

Which reminds me of my favourite joke (and the only joke I know).:-

2 ducks were flying over Ballymena (in northern Ireland). One duck said "Quack,
quack", and the other duck replied "I'm going as quack as I can, I can't go any
quacker!".

Obviously you need to know the Ballymena accent to appreciate this one! ;-D
