Happy new year!

Happy new Year eveyone! I hope you all had a brillant and relaxing Christmas. We had a great time, it was quite quiet and was able to catch up with friends. Though lorna_babes was missed ALOT!!!!! But, yeah, she comes home tomorrow!!

Christmas eve I took April out to the evening carol service with me. She was really good and was reported to be really well behaved in the kid's meeting. The wee soul went to bed at 8.30 pm without a fuss. We were staying with my MIL at the Cedars so when everyone came home we had a supper of stilton soup with bread, and cheeses and biscuits. Yum. We then opened our stocking presents to each other which was good fun.

April woke up about 6.45 on Christmas morning which is really early for her, she is usually an 8 am kid!! She didn't really understand that it was Christmas morning. Fraz and I brought her in beside us and opened her stocking presents. Which included the DVD of Piglet's Big Movie so she watched that until about 8.30 at which point I'd fallen back asleep!

April was slightly overwhelmed by the sight of all the presents under the tree and announced that she wanted to go home. She cheered up when she got her Baby Annabell. Which has been a hit. She is practising look after her baby brother or sister iwth Annabell. April got ALOT of presents. Including dozens of books and jigswas, a toy shop and sweet shop, clothes, and accessories for her baby doll. She is only now beginning to realise what new books she has. As she'd been up so early she went for a sleep in the afternoon for 2 hours! So I had an hours nap too. Once Katie and April were in bed and asleep for the night we had Christmas dinner. Which was very relaxing and very tasty! There was no point feeding Christmas dinner to them, all April would have eaten was the chipolata sausages.

The rest of the evening was very relazing and quiet.

Boxing Day Fraz, April and I went to my mum and dad's. My sister, Rosalind and her husband came too. More presents and more food and more games. Another good and relaxing day.

The rest of the week was spent trying to bring some order back to the house and in the evenings we caught up with Kate and Neil which was great.

Over the new year we had the conference on at church and I managed to all the meetings except Monday evening when it was my turn to baby sit. this is the first time I've mised the New Year Word. And then Tuesday I woke up with a really sore throat which was progressed to a rotten virally cold! My wonderful MIL took April for the day to day and I've just rested all day so am feeling better this evening. I'm 35 weeks pregnant now, so a cold that lingers is the last thing I need!

The festive season is now over, I took all our decorations down this evening and all the cards are away. And now is time to get ready for this new baby which will be hear before we know it! I cannot believe how quickly this pregnancy has flown in compared to the first time. And I cannot believe how much I need to do before it arrives. My mum is coming over tomorrow to help organise the baby's room and I think I wlll then be able to make more of list of what I need to get. There is nothing BIG to get just stuff like nappies, bottle teats etc and then postnatal stuff for me. My aim is feed the baby myself again but I know I found it really useful to be able to have expressed milk in a bottle for the odd time I went out, like for church. So I wlll need to sterlise all my bottles etc... I also want to batch cook so I need to clear out the freezer and do some major shopping.

I really hope this baby comes within 10 days of it's due date and comes itself without me being induced! The hospital I'm going to will only let you go 12 days over your due date before they induce. I was induced the last time and it was horrible! The pain of it was worse than labour pain and because I wasn't officially in labour though in a heck of amount of pain, I wasn't taken down to the labour suite till I was 4 cm dilated. So because I was in a normal ward Fraz wasn't allowed in until I was in the labour suite. Part of the reason I found the whole "latent" phase of labour so hard was because I didn't have Fraz with me. Please pray labour starts naturally and within 10 days of my due date.
