This weekend was great. Went to the Comedy and Magic Club to see John Pinette (You go now! You be heah fo HOWAH!), which was hilarious. I laughed for just about two hours straight.
Sunday was a really cool ~7 mile hike on the Pacific Crest Trail through the Angeles National Forest. We really didn't know how long or strenuous it was going to be, but it turned out to be a moderate to strenuous hike. After Utah a couple of weeks ago, I've fallen in love with hiking. Something about busting my ass over foothills just lets me sweat out the stress. I feel very refreshed.
Oh, and I also got promoted. It looks like I'm taking over both the broadcast engineering and the newly formed network engineering--which heretofore has been just me--departments. It's my first foray into middle management, but I think I'll do all right. By the way, if anyone knows any worthwhile network engineers in Southern California, have them send their resumes to quiteunimportant (gmail). I need to hire three.
