Well, everyone. The votes have been tallied, and it appears that we are going to be moving over to DreamWidth. Also that vote was one of the nearest things we've ever seen.
So, for those of you who do not already have DreamWidth accounts, you can still register for free without an invite code at present. We recommend doing this as soon as possible. When this changes, and you need an invite code when you go to register, please let us know and we will source you one.
We hope to be opening up over there by 8 January. By Tuesday (3 January) we should be ready for everyone to start moving in. To try to make sure this goes smoothly and we don't accidentally refuse anyone from joining the comms, we're going to put up a post closer to the move date where you can inform us of your username on DreamWidth. (After all, we are not tyrants insisting you must keep your same username, and maybe you'll be able to grab that username you always wanted. You do get 25 characters over there...)
These comms will remain open until it is possible to port all the entries and comments over to DreamWidth. On 8 January, we will be closing down the comms to new entries, as everything should be ready to go for the new comms. Comments here on LJ will remain open for backtagging until everything is exported to DW, at which point they will be closed.
So... Questions? Comments? Statements of irrevocable fact? Direct them here, and we will address them as best we are able.
