Hell-oooooooo, Carriero-mates. Does something seem unusual to you? Perhaps this eerie feeling is settling over you, as if this asylum game just got about 20% less heterosexual, and 100% more extraterrestrial considering there have never before been aliens? Well, that would be true, because your (coincidentally unspoken) prayers have been answered and then some! Ladies and gentlemen, without pause to contemplate whether it is strictly speaking correct to refer to gentlemen in the plural here or skip the possibility of a gentlementlemen joke - I bring you Kanaya Maryam, webcomic-derived Alternia-born thirteen-year-old alien chainsaw/lipstick lesbian. And that little mouthful there doesn't even get into whether or not she's a vampire.
Some of you may have recognized the provided contact information, Americanism, or juvenile conviction that Homestuck reaction gifs are ever appropriate in a professional context, and come to some conclusions. Yes, I am Miku-mun! She is me. So now you might be asking whether this means that Miku herself will be coming back. After all, I played the poor thing here for over a year. However, there were a lot of changes for her character over the course of that year. Hell, a lot of changes occur over the course of two months - otherwise, I wouldn't be back here now, would I! (Though most of what has changed is the revelation that this game is slow enough that it would be difficult not to keep up in almost any life circumstances short of literally being in a coma.) She went through a pretty much year-long arc of her heart being gradually broken by the asylum. So because of that, if Miku did come back, it would definitely be in a canon-update capacity as one of her appends, most likely "Hatsune Miku Dark Append", with a new journal and everything. This would also most likely happen as a joint canon update venture with Luka-mun or Kouki-mun. So Kanaya's going to get settled in and Miku-muse is going to get a nice long several months' rest before we even think of that.
And so yes. You'll be seeing her intro post some time tomorrow, because otherwise we might as well grab the Black King's scepter and start the Reckoning right the heck now. ...did I mention that by virtue of her canon of origin, Kanaya brings Homestuck's entire virulent complex of inside jokes in with her? And the
other quirky aspects of her permissions section? Yeah, maybe I should have mentioned that before. Well, you know now.
