[Romano looks not pleased when the camera switches on, holding up something that looks like a typical school cafeteria food tray.]I've been trying to find anything useful since yesterday, and all they have here is this damn stupid stuff they call food. Has anyone seen a properly equipped kitchen in this place? Those jerkfaces don't really expect us ( Read more... )

[Miku hasn't really eaten lately, since the food doesn't seem that good and she doesn't need to eat anyway. So hearing this mysterious man with an interest in her wanting to get better food gives her an idea.]

Oh, that's really a shame. Will you let me know if any leeks turn up?

[That request surprises him, but he smiles for her nonetheless and nods.]

Sure, I'll keep an eye out for it. ...Why?

[She shrugs.]

Oh, you know, I just like them. If I don't have some once a week life starts to lose a little bit of its meaning.

I'll do my best for you, Signorina.

Have you ever tried pizza or pasta?

A little. I think they're okay; I guess I haven't really had enough to properly decide.

If you only say that they were okay, I assume you didn't have them made by a true Italian?

I suppose not... Guess I'll have to find out one of these days, huh?

I would treat you to an Italian dinner, signorina, if you would like? ...As soon as I found a kitchen and sufficient supplies.

Th-this is a blog post right? future_hatsune September 26 2010, 19:20:09 UTC
That-that would be really nice. [She puts down her communicator and blushes. As far as she can recall this is probably the closest to romantic anyone has ever been to her. Hopefully it won't be called off if he finds out about the status of her humanity. Picks it up again and types:] I hope you find some supplies soon for everyone's sakes.

I really hope so, too.

...What do you usually eat? [He's having a hard time trying to place her into a certain culture, so why not ask?]

Seriously what will she do if that happens future_hatsune September 26 2010, 21:21:26 UTC
[The question shocks her enough that she accidentally closes all the windows she has open. Oh, god, what should she say? To be honest she only really has one meal a day except on special occassions, along with snacks... which are usually leeks. Now that she thinks about it, that's definitely something they have in common, not really wanting to eat food unless it's good. But she can't just say that she doesn't need to eat at all, can she? She opens the reply window again and, somewhat frantic, puts together a hopefully plausible list from the stuff she ate last week ( ... )

[He needs a moment ot digest this. How can someone not care about food at all? Even Germany and Poland and them with their potatoes care about food, just the wrong way...]

There are a lot of fish dishes in my place, too. [He thinks for a moment.] I have never tried vegetable juice. What vegetable do you prefer for it?

[And you bet he'll offer her wine. At a romantic dinner with candlelight and pasta and ...okay. If he can find such things.]

I had wanted to make a "theater of Miku's mind" comic but I suck future_hatsune September 30 2010, 00:05:19 UTC
[Something strikes her about the way he says "my place"; it doesn't sound quite right, but she decides to ignore it.]

Actually, I don't really know for sure what's in it. [She laughs.] All I know for sure is that it's green. Think there's... leeks and cabbage, maybe?

You won't get better if you don't try? mezzo_giorno October 2 2010, 11:18:20 UTC
We can see if we can find something in the cafeteria to make that.

[Main point is, he'll never find any of that. not in the normal asylum, at least.]
