Pop, mostly, hardly anything I do ever has acoustic backgrounds. [She feels like she has skipped over a minefield by avoiding actually saying the word "synthesized".] Some of it is really sad music that tends to incorporate piano, though. [She bites her lip.] To be honest I really don't sound as good a capella.
[After saying that she realizes it sounds like she's fishing for a compliment, but figures he won't mind. What to call him begins to worry her - being foreign he'll think Vargas sounds too stiff, Mr. Vargas would make her seem like a little girl, and she doesn't really feel comfortable addressing him by first name.
