[Miku is somewhat disappointed. Waking up somewhere she hadn't been the night before is only a little above unpleasant surprise in her book. She tries all the doors, which is how she found out this wasn't Crypton: The outfits were clearly not her own. (Not to mention that the nightgown she was wearing also was not her own - Miku didn't really want

...Hello?

I'm -- [gauging the situation before she decides the order] -- Miku Hatsune. And you are?

I'm Kouki Wakahisa. It's nice to meet you, Hatsune. Or do you mind me using your first name?
Reply
Whichever you prefer is fine. [She personally would prefer to be called Hatsune by this particular young man.] Would you happen to work here?
Reply
No, I don't. Do you know anything about this place?
Reply
I have some theories, but nobody's really said anything yet.

I had been assuming that... [She draws in breath, and does it in a deliberate enough fashion that he could see the inside of her mouth - the inside of it definitely looks just plain wrong.] I had been assuming that the company that made me - Crytpon - had taken me away for maitenance. It was my birthday, after all, so it made sense that I would receive an upgrade of some kind. But nobody here seems to be from Crypton, or some related organization, or even recognize them. So that's falling apart pretty fast.
[She sighs.]

I see...I thought we're taken here by some people who want something from us.

[The other doesn't seem to be taking it very well. Miku hopes he won't discriminate or anything. Humans kind of have a tendency of doing that]

[The fate of everyone inside the Yamanote line resting on his choice is a heavy responsibility, especially with the ever shortening time limit.]
...Are you some kind of robot?
[He sounds curious.]

You've caught me. Yes, I am. See? [She shows off her nails, which are an elegant turquoise and perfect in shape, though slightly longer than strictly necessary. They should impress him.] These things don't grow and never have to be cut. Same for my hair.
Would you mind telling me more about this matter that's so important to you? I mean, if you don't want to that's fine... [She shuffles her feet a bit.]

Wow...I never seen someone like you before. [There's awe in his tone.]
Well... [Considering whether to tell her or not.] It's related to the Tokyo Lockdown, and how I should help everyone there.

I've got quite a few compatriots, actually. Whether you'd call them siblings, I'm not sure. Maybe some of them are around.
The Tokyo Lockdown? [Her head tilts. She hasn't heard of it.] That must be in a different prefecture from where I live, I haven't really heard about such a thing.

Well...the government place the entire area inside the Yamanote line under lockdown. My friends and I happened to be inside at the time for almost a week, so it's been rough on us all.

I see. [She decides she mustn't press any further, and briefly considers showing off how the motors inside her limbs work and are so quiet. Then she has a better idea.] Those are some nice headphones you've got there. Is there any music playing in them?
