Whichever you prefer is fine. [She personally would prefer to be called Hatsune by this particular young man.] Would you happen to work here?

I have some theories, but nobody's really said anything yet.

[She leans in a little closer, draws him some distance away from the others by his sleeve, lowers her voice.]

I had been assuming that... [She draws in breath, and does it in a deliberate enough fashion that he could see the inside of her mouth - the inside of it definitely looks just plain wrong.] I had been assuming that the company that made me - Crytpon - had taken me away for maitenance. It was my birthday, after all, so it made sense that I would receive an upgrade of some kind. But nobody here seems to be from Crypton, or some related organization, or even recognize them. So that's falling apart pretty fast.

I hope that isn't what's going on. Besides, I would have to be kidnapped then, and that would have to be while I was sleeping. It's implausible - I live with four other people, they'd have to incapacitate them all. Maybe it's just some kind of publicity stunt. Though I guess that wouldn't explain the other people... perhaps it's a collaboration of some kind?

[The other doesn't seem to be taking it very well. Miku hopes he won't discriminate or anything. Humans kind of have a tendency of doing that]

Yeah. I have something I need to do back home and it's very urgent. My friends are counting on me for it.

The Tokyo Lockdown? [Her head tilts. She hasn't heard of it.] That must be in a different prefecture from where I live, I haven't really heard about such a thing.

Well...the government place the entire area inside the Yamanote line under lockdown. My friends and I happened to be inside at the time for almost a week, so it's been rough on us all.
