[All thoughts about him having to get his territory to the meeting, about them having to figure out these powers, is gone.

There are things that he does not like to remember, and the time when the nation that he adored the most and the man's partner came, completely, utterly devastated and killed everyone and everything in his southern areas and then came and occupied his capital and then set it on fire?

The time when they threw impostor after impostor after him and he got weak, so weak, was weak already and they made it worse...

That is why he has to be strong. The only thing that will make others be nice to him is to be strong. He learned that early on, centuries before the Commonwealth burned down his capital.

Which does not make that any better. The empire grabs Poland harder and then changes his grip on him so one of his hands wraps around the other man's windpipe and pressing down.]

[Poland winces a little as he's picked up, grabbing onto Russia's arm and pushing away to keep enough room to breathe.]

If you wanna stop me, try like, not being an ass for once!

[Takes two steps until he can push Poland into the wall, hard.]

I'm only trying to help you accept reality, yes? You aren't strong anymore. You would not get as far as your own border if you tried anything.

[That didn't so hurt Poland through the force of it as it did cut off his air, but after a brief strangled noise, he presses his back against the all for support and kicks out at the bigger nation as hard as he can. He can't really talk with no air, so he's just going to have to get Russia to move his hand!]

The larger nation feels the pain, but what would make a normal person, and a normal nation, cringe and double over only makes him stumble backwards and his hands clench harder and then open a bit, trying to get back to breathing properly.]

[Russia's smile is still firmly in place as he lunges forward to grab the smaller blonde again, intending to smash him into the wall again by whatever part of his body he can grab first, and then make sure that he won't have to let go again.]

[Poland hisses in pain as he's slammed into the wall, but keeps fighting, striking at Russia's elbows with his arms.]

You don't have any right! You're like, a thief! God, let go of me!

No. [Grabbing the other nation's arms to flip him around, chest against the wall. It makes it easier to control the other nation's movements.] I am stronger now.

[Poland swears, trying to drive his elbows back into the bigger man. Russia is stronger than he used to be, and he's grown so much weaker, but damned if that means he's giving in!]

But you will be one with me... [Twists Poland's arms into a painful angle] ...and you would go down with me.

[Poland turns his face away so Russia can't see the pain on it, and keeps struggling.]

Like Hell. I'm totally never gonna be part of you!

[On paper, maybe, in the maps. But in the hearts of his people? No goddamn way.]
