Kouki was walking towards the library. There might be books he haven't read yet and his music power generally played a nice song in the area. Even if only he can hear them.

Lightly humming along, he stopped when he saw a child.

He was getting slightly more used to finding people here, but the little colony still jumped a bit at seeing someone new. Aside from curling one little fist into Kumajirou's fur, Canada opted to stay very, very still and watch to see what this stranger would do.

A child and a bear? Was this another trick from Linda or was the child a new arrival?

"Hello."

[furgotten]

"Hello..." Both the colony and the bear kept watching him. "Are you friendly?"

[de_bel_survivor]

He smiled and nodded. "Yes, I am. Are you new here?"

[furgotten]

"Oh, that's good. And I am, yes." Canada nodded, too, nudging Kumajirou to shuffle forward so they could tentatively approach the friendly stranger together.

He crouched down, so he can talk at eye level. "I'm Kouki Wakahisa. What's your name?"

[furgotten]

Stopping a safe distance away, but closer than before and with the bear still between them for safekeeping, Canada eyed Kouki a moment before answering. "I'm Nouvelle-France."

[de_bel_survivor]

The name made him blinked. 'France' was obvious enough, but he don't know what 'Nouvelle' means. "Nou...Nouvelle-France? Then you're a nation?"

"I'm a Royal Colony!" There was a definite flicker of genuine happiness at that, as if it was something to be excited over. To him, it was. "According to the king and everything."

He couldn't help but smile at the young nation's happiness. Though, a part of him pointed out that he's most likely older than Kouki. "Wow, that's very impressive! Then you must be important."

[furgotten]

Canada nodded, still smiling a little. "Oh, I am! Sometimes. Not always, but sometimes."

"What do you do as a Royal Colony?"

[furgotten]

"Sometimes I go to Papa's to meet with le roi or some of the bigger places, but mostly I just stay with my people or my new people and make sure no one is being too mean to them all."

"That's a good thing to do, since it shows you're responsible."

[furgotten]

He nodded, appreciating the appreciation. "Of course. I have to be. I have to impress my new people so they'll stay and tell their friends to come live at my home, too."
