Death By Christmas Tree; the U.S. has always been a hot mess

Funny, not funny ext_4415167 December 6 2017, 01:36:31 UTC
Sorry, I laughed. Perhaps it the American desensitization? Not that violence is funny, but jousting with mini Christmas trees is a bit funny.

It seems like if an issue is not on the news at least 3 times we put it to the back of our minds. Just because it's always been tolerated doesn't mean it's ok. The plight with Native American land and monuments right now has just been a blip on our radar, but how long are we going to allow people to be treated this way? Haven't we taken enough from eachother? Are we so complacent that we will once again turn a blind eye to the rights of Native American peoples? Whey are we still refusing to take a stand against wrongs? We see our world in chaos and turn the channel. We need to start loving people again - all people - this would solve all our problems, but we seem to be afraid to love, or to treat others as we would want to be treated because we're afraid we might lose something in the process. Though, what will we ALL gain from showing love and compassion?

We all love you Carrie, almost as much as Gabbie 😄. Merry Christmas!

Steph
