I made a promise to myself that I will travel on one long trip (at least four weeks) and two short trips (at least five days) yearly.
However I have yet able to make my short trips thus far. Every time a long weekend is approaching, I have friends in town. No that I am complaining. Next week, Jus & W are flying in from Melbourne & London respectively. All of us are looking forward to it as it will be immense fun. They even got me a room to stay with them in their hotel so that it wont trouble me much to travel around. I have planned their itinerary packed with dinners and drinking places after work already, we are def gonna rock up and paint the town red!
I am starting to plan ahead for my next big trip for the next winter. It's either back to London & Barcelona or New York & San Paolo. BUT...travelling New York & San Paolo is going to be a logistical nightmare. New York will be freakishly cold and San Paolo will be hot hot hot! I would not want to turn up at San Paolo with my layers of winter wear looking liked a misfit.
I went to catch 'Run Fat Boy Run' and it has been one of the rare movies which have not disappointed me. I got to say that I am pleasantly surprised at David Schwimmer's debut directorial film. I love the Britishness about the movie, and how they plumped up the film with cameo appearances from David Walliam from 'Little Britain' and Dylan Moran (Manny in 'Black Books').
I'll be dining with J & his parents this weekend again, this time to try the latest restaurant by Emmanuel Stroobant & Sebastian Reuiller - Picotin. I hope the food is yummy.
Talking of which, I am going to Chris Botti's concert next month. We got awesome seats in the first few rows. Though not a huge fan, it will be fun catching it with J & his parents. And I am also going for David Tao's concert later this month. He is the only mandarin artiste I listen to. Knowing how much I love his music, J went ahead and bought the tickets for me without me agreeing. Plus I managed to nick tickets to catch 'Persepolis' at Alliance Francaise later this month. I heard rave reviews about the film in France. =)
I know it's a whole lot of randomness, but that's me!
