Marital Bliss - Weddings

V came into town bringing good news. She got engaged last month in Costa Rica! Her engagement ring was huge blink, more than 2 carats! It seemed liked a few weeks ago when I met Kevin & her in San Francisco. Apparently he had been looking for the diamond for the longest time, even when we were visiting them in December. I am looking forward to her wedding next year as we will all be flying out to SF to celebrate with her.

Mrs Jestine Chin-Corti. They have finally tied the knot! She was jaw droppingly gorgeous in the most classic looking French lace designer gown, and him being an Italian was dress impeccable to the occasion as usual and extremely cheeky.  Her blink was ever flashier than V's! She got a 2.6 carats diamond in the middle, adorned with smaller diamonds around the band. Although the weather on the morning was foreboding, it cleared up for the solemnization in the afternoon. I had to be there early to make sure that everything was set up as requested by the bride which included the setup of the 3 tier fresh cream cake exquisitely decorated with fresh flowers, making sure the archways leading in for the wedding march was decorated with flowers of the colour scheme chosen by the bride and to coordinate all the loose ends on the day itself. I was just relieved at the end of the day that everything went smoothly. I got to give props to Au Jardin for their service and food....

One wedding a year, that's the maximum quota annually for me. I personally do not like to attend huge and uptight weddings where I know only a handful of people and have to dine among strangers. This wedding was liked a long overdue gathering for us. Everyone flew in from all over just to attend the wedding and it felt good to catch up with everyone else. And prior to the wedding, we had lunches or dinners everyday and J was terribly sweet as he was the one who drove me around to meet everyone else, and being there when I was cranky, irritable and short towards him. I blamed it on the full moon for my crankiness. Sam & V had a great time catching up especially, since they knew each other since UC Berkeley days.

As we were out everyday with V and had late nights, both J & I fell sick right after the wedding. =(

To top it off, my old foot injury is back to haunt me. Coughing and limping makes me feel liked an old lady! I miss my gym sessions...and time with my girls, our usual chill out brunches in Dempsey...I miss the strawberry scone from PS Cafe.

Looking forward, W confirmed his itinerary and is flying in from London first week April. I have a list of things to do and food to eat prepared for him already! Weeeee.....

J has also confirmed her itinerary and is flying in from San Fran first week in May. I met her from J in San Fran during my trip in January earlier this year. They have been friends for the longest time since college days in Denver. Weird thing was, within the short period of time I met her, we bonded liked glue. She is especially flying into Sing to hang out with J & I. We'll both be staying over at J's place during her short stay here...that will be interesting.

Work has been challenging in a positive way. Loads of meeting, launch parties, wine dinners - extra curriculum stuffs which I am not exactly jumping excitedly for. I am starting to get into the groove of work and roll along with it. Round it off, no complains. =D
