i keep reading shit on the net about how the crappy cheesy Idol single ("This Is My Now") was an unfair song to sing because it wasn't Blake's style and it didn't suit him as well as it suited Jordin. it was tailor-made for Jordin daw.

a truly exceptional vocalist/performer should be able to make a song work whether or not the song fits his/her style of music. you want examples? fine...
Case #1: Melinda Doolittle. she made everything work from country to rock to pop to soul. she kicked butt on "Trouble Is A Woman". she brought the house down with "Have A Nice Day". she even worked it out on "Nutbush City Limits". but are any of those her style of music? NO.
Case #2: Bo Bice. "Inside Your Heaven" was one of the cheesiest crappiest Idol singles ever. but when Bo performed the song, he was actually pretty good. he rocked it. if i remember correctly, i think the judges even said that they like his version more than Carrie's during the finale. coz Carrie's were ruined by her nervousness daw. he even released it as a single and it was bearable. but Bo was a rocker, and he STILL made the song work even if it wasn't his style.
and now people are complaining because "This Is My Now" wasn't Blake's style of music? GET OVER IT. if Blake is as good as his hardcore fans say he is, he would've made the song work NO MATTER WHAT. but alas, HE DIDN'T. he fell flat.
Blake wasn't screwed by the producers or the songwriters or anyone else. Blake screwed himself up. his limited capabilities caused his own downfall. his wobbly vocals. his pitchy-ness. his inability to reach and to sustain the big power notes.
and that is why Jordin is easily winning this tomorrow.
