it's been awhile
wow. i haven't updated this for a month. so i am sure i am going to ramble on and on.
my weekend trip to new orleans was great. i had a blast hanging out with rory. i drank the entire weekend and felt like i was in college all over again. i ate some great food, visited the french quarter and went to the storm game. we won, it was great! derek & i will be going back on july 28th for arena bowl, i can't wait to take a little vacation with him.
the storm season came to an end last week. we lost to columbus in the wildcard playoff. it was sad. we only lost by one point. it was a great season. we started out 0-5 and made it to tha playoffs, better yet a home playoff game. i made a lot of great friends. more importantly, i learned a lot about myself and other people. some people can really hurt you, say and do things you wouldn't expect. i had my ups and downs, but i seriously feel like i am such a stronger person!
the only really good thing that came out of the storm not winning is that derek & i can now come home to PA for his sister in law's baby shower. matt & melissa are having a boy, daniel, who is due in october. so mark it down, derek and i should be home friday july 13 to sunday july 15. it will be a really fast trip, but let's try to hang out!!
these past few weeks have been great for derek & i. we celebrated our seven year anniversary but most importantly we picked a wedding date. friday august 22nd. we will be getting married and having the reception at oak tree country club. we have been doing some planning but we are waiting till we come home to see what our families would like as well. my parents are coming to florida in october and i'll start going dress shopping when they come down.
overall, life has been great (other than this cold i've had for the past few days). excited for summer, going to the beach, our trip home, new orleans, and finally less stress in my life.
