Shoot 'Em Up
i give it 5 out of 5!
it was like a bugs bunny cartoon but with real violence and injuries and stuff. hilarious with awesome special effects. i freakin love clive owen. mmmmmmmm.
i also went to blockbuster last night and scored used copies of Hannibal Rising, Blood Diamond and Children of Men for $20 bucks! having no air conditioning (long story, but let's just say it's going to cost us 10 grand we don't currently have to replace the air conditioner AND furnace- but at least the association has to pay for the crack in the basement wall) means that we spend a lot of time in the living room with fans at the opposing ends of the room going full blast, so it'll be good to have new stuff to watch.
We also plan to spend a lot of time at the movies, since they're air-conditioned:
3:10 to Yuma (mmmm Christian Bale)
Halloween (apparently not the sacreligious insult to John Carpenter I thought it would be)
Balls of Fury
Superbad
Death Sentence
War
And I saw a poster at the theater for the new Elizabeth movie with Cate Blanchett and CLIVE OWEN! mmmmm. I have a weird obsession with Tudor England ever since I read The Other Boleyn Girl. Which they are also making into a movie, staring Eric Bana, who sort of looks like CLIVE OWEN! hoooray!
