Today I slept in until 7:30! I woke up then because my son made some noise when he left for work, but even then, I dozed off and on all the way until 8:30. It was magical.

After I got up and got ready, I took my daughter to the church for Storytime Saturday. She had fun. I read a book and talked to a guy that was there about his work in a very large corporate setting, which is something I am totally unfamiliar with. I feel like I'd get fired right away if I were to work at a place like that. I'd say something wrong without even meaning to.

We left the church and stopped by to pick up a calendar from a friend, and then went to the grocery store for a few things I forgot yesterday. One thing I got was allspice. Wow, that is expensive!

This evening I had to go back to the church for a meeting. It was only a meeting of 6 people, and for whatever reason, when it began, my stomach started growling obnoxiously. I'm not sure if anyone heard but I was embarrassed. I have no idea what caused that.

My parents got a new puppy today. This is a little border collie. It's a girl, which is a switch for them since their last three dogs have been male. She's a real cutie. I think they are going to name her Tinkerbell(for my daughter) but call her Belle. That's a sweet name for her. I think that the dog has a face similar to his dog who recently died, so that's probably why she was my dad's pick, but even so, I'm glad they chose a different breed. I think if they got another Australian shepherd that there would be way too many comparisons and it would just make them (especially him) feel sad. As it is, I think he is very excited to have a puppy but also I think he feels a bit of guilt or sadness as it makes him remember his old dog. I think once his minds gets around it, that this is a very good thing for my dad. He needs a dog.

I thought that perhaps the bank fraud thing was pretty much solved, but it appears that one correction made in QB did not go to plan, and it actually looks like the payroll tax payment went back in to the old account even when the payroll guy thought it was corrected to the new account. That is not my role, so not something I can correct, but I did sound the alarm as soon as I noticed it this evening. I appreciate the comments that some of you added about that. I'll reply to those directly, but the end result was that I chose NOT to do a merge of accounts and rather just balanced the old one down to zero and am starting fresh with the new one. After thinking more about it, I don't need those old transactions to be pulled in to the new number. They are all still there for me to view if I want to, but it doesn't matter if they are in the new area or not. I'm glad I chose that route because otherwise I likely wouldn't have noticed this payroll tax thing at all today. I do have to say that the live rep I spoke to was spectacularly unhelpeful, and I ended up finding the information that helped me online instead. The lady was very pleasant but talked around and around in circles and didn't really offer much guidance at all. Oh well, I guess they have the scripts they are allowed to work within.
