L.J. Smith's TVD books were actually what got me into fantasy back when I was... oh, 13? My online name is derived from one of the obscure families in another of her book series :D

I had to check out Vampire Diaries. I was prepared to hate it, but it turned out to be surprisingly good. (I never did watch Lost. Am currently catching up on Veronica Mars. Then Castle's next. Then Sons of Anarchy.)
