I cannot ever type the word "because" correctly the first time. Even just now, I had to backspace because I transposed the s and the u. And I had to do it again for the second time I used it, as well. And in the title. Weird.
Captain Ron Crawfish made it back safely to his home at the spring in Childress, now reunited with his crawwife and crawkids. The in-laws are threatening to let the boys come back with a snake or a racoon, this time. I don't think that the in-laws are very funny.
The boys are coming home Saturday, and then leaving again in a week to go to Denver with their grandparents. I think I'm starting to miss them. But the house is extraordinarily clean.
We have another date night tonight with some friends. That promises to be fun.
My windshield is being replaced. I've had my car for 3 years. It only has 22,000 miles on it because I don't go anywhere, and last month as I was driving down a major thoroughfare in town, I got a barely noticeable rock chip. Then, when I went through the car wash on an exceptionally hot day, the chip turned into a huge crack that goes directly through my line of sight. $215 dollars later... Grumble. I can think of a lot of other things I want to spend $215 on.
Nolan keeps looking at antique cars to buy. We've looked at 60's Impalas (OMG Dean!Car) and 60's model Thunderbirds. How cool would that be? I'm not saying that I want to give up my air conditioning and power steering and sunroof, but as fun weekend car? Awesome. I guess that's his mid-life crisis or something coming through. ;)
I rearranged the furniture in the living room yesterday. It looks pretty good, if I do say so myself.
I am working out daily and eating sensibly, and still my ass is as big as the size of a barn. I start the 2nd round of the HGC this week, though.
Had my first facial the other day and WOW. Can I say that a Mary Kay facial and the massage, deep clean, slough treatment I got are not even close to the same thing? It ROCKED. Got a pedicure and manicure, too. Tell me, when professionals paint my nails, why can't they do a good job? I've never had anyone paint my nails that I didn't take it off immediately when I got home. Toes, sure. But fingernails? Nope.
First week of rehearsal was pretty good. We have to sing the lyrics to Bali Hai in French, and it sounds lovely, even if the lyrics are actually mundane. I have the first dance rehearsal on Monday. That'll be a good, hot, sweaty, painful time, I'm sure. :D
That about covers it. What are you all doing this weekend?
