[Tech support] Trillian walkthrough to IRC
Soooo, I already squee'd about Trilllian being a good way to get to the IRC network for those who want to join chat, but there actually never was an actual walkthrough for it. And since we just went through it with surfaceshine's typist this evening, why not let the whole community benefit from it? ^^
SO! Here goes. Once you've installed it, open your main menu. It will look like this:
In the main Trillian window, click on the main menu and choose "Manage accounts". It gets you to this window:
Then, choose add account and choose the IRC option. Put in your alias in the first two fields. In the third field, click the "...." button and select irc.quakenet.org.
Then click on the little mIRC icon at the top of your buddy list window and click "Join Channel". It will pop a dialog window, like so.
The room title is #carpeooc. There is no password.
And tada! You're set!
