Hi guys.
So, I owe
wadam one for telling me about
Mpix.com, which is where I sent a huge batch of photos on Monday to be printed. Not only did they arrive YESTERDAY, well-packed and way before I expected the box, they only screwed up one image which I'll need to get reprocessed (I was concerned with the amount of selective color I use that my prints might come out funky). Second batch goes out to Mpix today and if all goes well, I might actually have everything framed and packaged early next week. How about that--ahead of schedule! I'm really stunned at the quality of the pictures and I'm feeling considerably more confident about
the show now that I've got my grubby hands on about half of it. I squee'd at
freeze_etch and jumped up and down in the kitchen and then scrambled up the stairs to brag to Holly and Spider Mike, who seemed most impressed.
It's kind of nice to feel a little proud, admittedly. I gave myself a hug.
I also changed my hair color.
lillornyn came over the other night and helped me dab bleach on half my head before he toddled off to his D&D game. Having been in the midst of another bout of low self-esteem, I decided it might be fun to switch things up a bit hair-wise, and James helped get the red out, as it were. After all, good hair is good therapy, and it was beginning to become blatant that I've kind of stopped taking care of myself.
So, I don't feel 100% stellar about my appearance by any means, but I think I really like what I've done to my hair, subtle as it is. When the top is pinned back into a roll or clipped into a pigtail, the violet is really quite obvious, but when my mane is down, there's just a simple purple frame.
I mixed
Virgin Rose,
Wildflower, and
Atomic Pink to get this shade. The rest of my hair, as always, is
Nuclear Red and black.
freeze_etch was kind enough to play photog for me with my camera, and he also gifted me with that bad-ass exploded boombox hoodie. More about the outfit
here, if you're curious.
Thank you.
