Agravain sees the sign and follows it to the memory room, though he doesn't go in. He's not sure what it would do, exactly, but he has a feeling it would probably remind him of Gaheris and Gareth, who he misses, and he doesn't fancy letting the Mansion make him all weepy. So, he heads back to the ballroom, with the intent of getting really, really drunk and forgetting about the whole thing.
He can be found near one of the tables, drinking large amounts of alcohol. (Seriously, he's skulling most of his drinks in one go.)
Genkai doesn't go into the memory room for similar reasons. The past is the past, and bringing it up only will make her pine for it again and make her all misty.
She doesn't want to appear that way to anyone. (There was one, once... but he isn't there anymore.) So right by Agravain, there's a (seemingly and trollish) cute young girl walking up with a cup of sake in her hand.
Genkai likes to troll people too, especially assholes like Agravain.
Agravain's halfway through a mug of ale when he notices Genkai. He'd have to stop drinking to talk to her, so instead he just raises his eyebrows as a sort of greeting.
"It truly is. And you, my lady, will have the privilege of witnessing it for free." With that, he upends his drink and finishes the rest of it in one go.
