|| Mingler : Snow Ball War Sign Up : You Been Thunderstruck ||

It had started out as simple nostalgia; this is going to be Dean Winchester's first winter at the Mansion, and Hisoka Kurosaki has fond memories of last year.  The question of snow seemed a rather large one, ridiculously important in a way no other aspect of weather really is, but that's probably more to do with what can be done with snow that ( Read more... )

And here's Melou. He's someone who would enjoy being part of an enormous snowball fight, though he'll be very reluctant to join in and it will probably take a lot of convincing.

He's standing just outside the doorway, looking at Dean and Hisoka like they've both gone mad. He doesn't really want to know what's going on, and he certainly doesn't want to get involved, so he's just turning to leave. If somebody notices and calls out to him, though, he'll stop.

"King Melou!" calls Hisoka. He hops out of his chair and walks over.

"Hisoka," Melou says, and he doesn't actually ask, but the question is pretty plain in the confused expression on his face.

What on earth is going on?

Hisoka explains, "Dean and I have challenged each other to a snowball fight, as soon as there's enough snow to pack into solid, nose-busting snowballs. And now we need teams, because traditionally this kind of fight is not simply a one-on-one duel, but one group against another. Would you be interested in coming in with me?"

"Oh," Melou says, a bit unsure how else to respond. He does think a snowball fight would be fun, but he's too uptight to want to admit it.

"It'll be fun," says Hisoka, encouragingly.

Melou is still hesitant, visibly so. "Do you think so?" he asks, because it's all he can think of to say.

Keep trying, Hisoka! You should be able to convince him. Eventually.

"Sure! You wouldn't know this just from considering a snowball, because they look so harmless, but smacking somebody in the face with one has much of the same pleasure as whacking them with a sword. Especially if you make it an iceball." Hisoka says this with guiltless enthusiasm.

Melou looks snooty. "Not exactly. Hitting someone with a sword feels a lot less childish."

He's trying to be all aloof and pretend he doesn't care for silly things like snowball fights, but it's probably quite obvious that it's an act.

"Hitting somebody with anything feels good," Hisoka asserts, philosophically. "Who cares if it's childish?"

Melou looks unimpressed. "It's childish."

Melou's preferred style of arguing: repeat the same thing over and over again until the other person gives up.

"Do you remember being a child?" asks Hisoka, curiously.

Melou looks suspicious. "What does that have to do with anything?"

"Was childhood any less serious than adulthood?" Hisoka clarifies.

"Yes," Melou replies, more for the sake of being right and being stubborn than because he actually thinks it was.

Hisoka snickers.
