TJ had actually gone to Tony's room in search of him, disappointed when the other man wasn't around. That doesn't stop the werewolf from using his acute sense of smell to go in search of him though, and he's grinning as he slowly takes the steps down from the porch, eyeing Tony's autumnal activities with amusement.
Tony's just laying in the leaf pile right now, holding a bright red leaf up and turning it in his fingers. He's not oblivious to his surroundings, but he doesn't notice TJ coming towards him.

It probably helps that TJ can move quietly, though his smile is loud enough to wake the dead. He's that pleased to see Tony. He scoops up a bunch of leaves on his walk over, showering them over Tony's prone figure when he's close enough. "Favorite season?"

Tony sputters and sits up, shaking leaves out of his hair and trying to hide his blush. Great. Hot guy gets to catch him acting like he's five.
"Something like that." He liked fall. Cool enough to not boil in the shade and warm enough to not freeze to death. Plus, everything looked brighter to him this time of year. "Winter here isn't bad either though."

TJ notices the blush though, and he likes it. He grins, sitting down next to Tony. "I love the cooler weather." His wolf wants him to shift, so he can play in the leaves. TJ wants to talk to Tony. He's torn.
TJ laughs, snatching one of the leaves out of the air, and stroking it along Tony's cheek. Wolf = tactile and he's missed Tony, even more than he had realized.
"I've got fur to keep me warm. What keeps you warm?"

Tony blushes again, but tries to cover it up with a laugh and a gentle shove against TJ's shoulder. "Sure, rub it in. I haven't worked out that particular bit of magic yet. I'll just have to stick with my coat."

TJ reaches out to put a gentling hand on Tony's forearm. He can smell the panic. "Tony, I'm well. Completely healed. Would you like to see?" he offers. He's in a flannel shirt, over a tee, and easily lifts them to expose his torso.

Tony does look, and for a moment, it's just a guy, making sure that another guy is okay. Then it's Tony, awkward Tony, looking at a nice stomach and he pulls back before he really makes an idiot of himself. It's almost a natural movement.

And TJ can't tell if Tony's retreat is lack of interest, or too much interest embarrassment. He cocks his head to one side, very wolfishly, like an animal that's confused. "Because you weren't in your room. And I wanted to see you," TJ answers honestly. "I'd have found you before now, but I've been sleeping - a lot." And he has. The cooler weather, combined with his healing body made for a very lethargic werewolf.

Too much embarrassment because Tony is very sure that TJ is going to drift off like everybody else has. Though really, that has been kind of his own fault too...

TJ isn't a drifter. He's never been true to one mate, but Kitty would say that's just because he hasn't met the right male. TJ would shrug and not comment. But he's a loyal friend, and he already counts Tony as pack, albeit the human variety.
"I've met quite a few," TJ nods. Some better than others. "Found my favorite spot. That swing on the porch over there," he nods to the one. He's spent a lot of time in it thus far. Some of it napping.
Tony looks over at the swing and smiles a bit. "That's a good spot. Might get kind of chilly though by the time it starts to snow," he adds, slightly teasing.
The longer TJ sticks around, the more open and teasing Tony will get. "I'll have to get you a blanket."
