Wanting to be polite and, of course, because it's only fair, Bridget bustles around a bit to make some tea and pull some snacks out of the cupboard.
"He's wonderful," Bridget says, putting a tray of biscuits and assorted sweets on the table (thanks plothole!). "We knew each other from before this place, so I hope you don't get the wrong impression and think I'm rushing into things?"
Bridget laughs softly and prepares the tea in two mugs. "My own mother would probably be horrified, I'm sure," he says. "So I suppose it's a good thing she's not here."
Bridget shakes his head. "No. Because I'm getting married at all and then to someone not hand-picked by my family." He wrinkles his nose. "We were one of those 'old money' kinds of families."
Aramat sips her tea. “Ah... I see.” If she didn't get locked up in a asylum, her father would have attempted to marry her off as soon as possible. So she knows that deal.
“Well you're here... you can love anyone you wish.”
Aramat is beaming at the news. “Oh dear, I should have brought a gift...”

“I wouldn't have objected if you did. You're young, and foolish is a unique prvilege.”

He looks over at her. "I want you to come, if you'd like. To the wedding I mean."

Aramat looks excited. “Really? You'd want me to come?”

YOU SHOULD! There are so many weird characters to choose from! I thought about bringing in Zappa myself sooner or later.
