I am not sorry for doing this. drownedfuchsia September 5 2011, 02:49:37 UTC
Fuchsia is a very loyal creature. She's the loyalest of creatures to those loyal to her. So while she is completely loyal to her champion, she cannot help but gape at the man her.

She may not know it, but her typist once used the phrase could have sexual tension with office furniture to describe him, and poor Fuchsia's not immune to whatever he exudes. She's quite sure he's the handsomest man she's ever seen, through nowhere near as wonderful as her champion.

Fuchsia is a special experience in the mansion, and it's better that Jack get this first special experience over with.

Hee, I was hoping you'd send her! 51stcentry_jack September 5 2011, 04:56:15 UTC
Hopefully by now, Jack has found something presentable to wear, even if it's a tee-shirt and track-suit pants. Then again, this guy can make anything, even peculiar Object Underwear, look hot.

He might be rubbing his left wrist, which feels naked without the vortex manipulator strapped to it. "So, have I the honor of meeting the Lady of the house or are you another unexpected guest like myself?" he asks, hiding his thoughtfulness with a cheerful question.

I was debating between my two but Fuchsia won! drownedfuchsia September 5 2011, 05:04:22 UTC
If he's not at least in some form of top and bottom, Fuchsia would be suitably flustered, which would probably end with her running away.

She does giggle a little at his question. "I am a lady, but not the lady of thus house. There are too many ladies for anyone to claim to be her."

Oh look, a somewhat sensible answer.

He can't help the twinkle in his eye at the sound of that: perhaps there'll be a good share of gents as well (and anything in between or anything else that's willing and wooing...). "Well, if there was ever a time when this place needed one lady in particular, I'd say that crown would go to you," he says, bowing. "Captain Jack Harkness, at milady's service."

"You would?" Excuse Fuchsia for sounding confused but she's met so many ladies here, she's realized what a poor one she's been.

"Well, thank you." She grins, awkwardly.

"I certainly would," he says, and typist willing, he'll gently try and take her hand in his. "And to whose service have I just pledged myself?

Oh.

Pledging his service? Fuchsia can't have that. She found herself in a pickle with her champion for accepting help from another captain when face to face with a vampire.

"I can't accept!" That makes total sense to her.

"Whoa, just being polite there, no need to get flustered, ma'am," he replies. He doesn't mind flustering women, in a good way that means they're not sure whether to lose their knickers or not, but this is a different kind of flustered. "I just wanted to know your name and I was framing it nicely."

"I have a champion," Fuchsia continues as if she hasn't heard him. It's very likely she hasn't.

"And I wouldn't want Sir Gawain to think I am looking for another "

Inside though, she's a bit thrilled at the idea of someone else offering, but she still won't accept.

"He's a lucky fella then, having a girl like you to champion," he replies. "But a pretty girl like you must have a name to match her sweet face?"

"He's wonderful," Fuchsia concurs. Poor Gawain, who knows if he'd be flattered or worried by her dedication to him. "Absolutely wonderful!"

Oh yes, he asked her name, although the most important part to her is that he called pretty. "And I'm Lady Fuchsia Groan."

"Well, it's a pleasure to meet your ladyship," he says, bowing again, a little more affectedly but his usual cocky sincerity.

Fuchsia's hands grab onto her skirt like she's about to curtsy but she worries the material in her hands instead. "Nice to meet you Captain Harkness."

She flits a little bit closer to him, as if to examine further. "What are you the captain of?"

"I'm the captain of whatever mission I put my hand to carrying out and whatever ship I'm setting out on," he says, grinning, with a hint of mystery.

Fuchsia tilts her head. It's not an uncommon movement for a confused human, but she tilts it a little more than normal, even natural.

"So you're the captain of nothing?" Yes, that is what she took out of that.

"When you're the captain of nothing, you're free to be the captain of anything you choose," he says, still with that mysterious smile. "It's given me leave to move all over time and space as I choose." Well, for the most part. Aside from being strong-armed into working for Torchwood back in the day, but he managed to bend things around to his liking.
