Matsuda looked about himself in confusion. The tree was tall and it looked a long way to the ground. How did he get up here? He had been asleep and dreaming about a nice jacket he'd seen in a store - pity he couldn't afford it, but it had been really cool and... Now he was in a tree.
Maybe he was still dreaming. That made more sense than suddenly finding oneself up a tree, right?
So. Dreaming. If he jumped down he'd just float... Right?
He swallowed to himself then took the plunge. Okay, okay... falling... but he wouldn't hit hard because this was just a dream!
That was his final thought just before he did hit the ground with a bone rattling thump.
"Oww...," he groaned, wincing as he tried to sit up. This dream hurt.
