Genevieve recovered from her wolf-induced fright, and is daring come out again!

And she's going to wander nearby with a book of her own, a romance novel of sorts, and will be reading quietly.

The movement catches his eye and he looks up, spotting a pretty girl with a book. His own book of poetry suddenly becomes less interesting, and he finds he's staring at her a bit more than he should.

After a while, Genie feels observed, and looks up, a bit tetchily.

"Oui?"

He quickly drops his gaze. "Forgive me, I thought that I was alone and when I looked up, I saw you sitting there," he says. "You are...rather lovely and I could not help looking on you."

Genevieve blinks, then blushes. "--- thank you --"

"I am Titus Groan," he replies. "And with who have I the honor of sharing this corner of the verandah?" he asks.

"Genevieve Emery," she replies with a little smile. "I'm sorry, was I disturbing your reading?"

"No, not directly: I needed a moment to relax my eyes, and I happened to look up to see you there," he says. "And the sight of you was a welcome respite for my eyes."

Genevieve blushes, and failing to find a way to tell him that though his compliment is flattering, he shouldn't get his hopes up, she says, simply, "Hm. Thank you."

"So have you dwelled here long? I do not recall meeting you before, and I have been here for nigh a year," he asks. He's likely to keep his hopes up for as long as he can.

"I keep to myself," Genevieve says properly. She looks a bit shy, a bit embarassed. "And we were lucky to have friends here, when we arrived - so perhaps that would explain that I may have been a bit of a recluse."

"'We'? Did you arrive here with a companion from your world?" he asks, unsuspecting.

"Yes, my... I think the correct term in modern times is boyfriend."

Genevieve's blush is probably pretty explanatory.

Blink. "I see... so you are, as they say, spoken for by another?" he asks, trying not to look too disappointed.

[genial_umbrella]

"... yes," Genevieve replies. "... I am spoken for."

I guess?

In love, at any rate, and mutually so, definitely.

"I see... Then I hope that your lover would not mind another young man speaking with you. I would not wish to arouse his jealousy or concern," he replies, edgy.
