Wendla might be nearby, reading as well--a romance novel. When she sees Titus there, she blushes and quickly hides her book.

"Hello," she manages to say softly, waving at him--she doesn't want to interrupt, but she's curious about him.

He looks up after a moment. "Hello, I hope that my presence did not startle you, milady," he replies, friendly, albeit in a shy manner.

"Oh, not at all! I was taking a break, myself." She grins. "I'm Wendla Bergmann. It's nice to meet you."

"I am Titus Groan," he replies. "And it is a pleasure to meet you as well. Are you a scholar?" he asks, eying her book, curious.

[andadoring]

She blushes. "Oh, not really! I was just--curious."

[77th_earl]

"I only ask because you were reading a book when I glanced up at you," he says, gently.

[andadoring]

"Well...it's a book about--um--love--," she replies, still blushing.

[77th_earl]

He smiles at her, a small, shy smile and there might be a hint of color in his cheeks. "That is a noble and vital thing to read about: We all need and crave love."

[andadoring]

She nods, still blushing. "Yes, well. I suppose that's right."

[77th_earl]

"Dare I say, it is something that I am still learning about: the world which I came from was, in someways, lacking in love, but I have put it behind me and found several loves since I came here," he says.

[andadoring]

"Oh? So have I, I suppose. But only one love."

[77th_earl]

"For some, it would seem there is one love, and for others there are many," he says, with a small shrug. "As long as you find happiness and contentment with that love."

[andadoring]

Wendla nods. "Yes, exactly!"

[77th_earl]

"I have found happiness, but I must admit, mine seems to be too restless a spirit to find contentment with just one love, at least for now," he says.

[andadoring]

"--What's that like?" she asks.

[77th_earl]

"It is... I suppose it helps to satisfy different parts of one's nature: different lovers bring out different aspects of oneself, or at least it does for me," he says, trying to put it delicately, as he tries not to think too much about the hijinks with Aramat...
