[Crackplot] Horror growing in the back room
From the dark confines of the vortex of nothingness where his consciousness lurks, Morgoth has been observing. Waiting. Counting.
He sees and knows when the strong and the weak depart, ever - and even the slightest bit of despair this breeds is enough to feed his madness and his hunger for suffering. When the scale of such disappearances increases, he laughs, a laughter too dark and chilling for any living soul to survive, unheard in the depths of his tortured insanity.
And then he plots, and plots.
There is further suffering to be caused - an opportunity to seize. Wolves are called, orders are given, and his will, his ever desiring will, unbent, travels towards the Mansion.
Whispers will be heard in its corridor, dark and malevolent hisses that take undue credit.
I took them.
He was so sweet, and now he is mine.
She would have been touched to see you cry for her, but she is in my hands.
Whisperings in the Dark Tongue that translate to any understood idiom travel and perspire within the intimacy of the Mansion dwellers. Morgoth is taunting. A purpose.
Little good may come of it. For that same night and the following days, the foolhardy who venture out will find that they are prey, not hunters. They will be tracked and found, and Draugluin will gleefully lead his pack in this endeavor, for a headcount is to be made, literally, after their mission. He intends to keep a good Tally.
[OOC: So, the crackplot, as announced by the mods earlier this week. Timeline is flexible, and several options are available:
a) Your character may hear a malevolent whisper pertaining to one of the departed, to react over with another in whatever way you choose;
b) Morgoth may speak to your character in their head. If you want a Morgoth, please request him in the header [Puppet-Morgoth], so that I know to respond to that thread with his account, and so that I can keep track.
c) Any character who ventures on Mansion grounds may be attacked by the wolves (elvesareyummy). When starting a tag of this nature, please request the wolves in the subject line, and indicate in an ooc note the level of damage desired. The mods are tracking this post with the wolves' account, obviously, but due to the sheer amount of notifs expected, they'll need headers to keep track, such as [Puppet-Wolves].
