The Doctor is actually okay. For the most part. More or less recovered from his run in with Aramat - if still prone to be a little jumpy and sleeping very decidedly in the TARDIS door locked no matter what - and just a bit perplexed by his recent brief stint as a woman (that was interesting, to be sure, somewhat unexplainable) he is in usual form

We think the Doctor should meet Agravain as well. Because Agravain will think the Doctor is very funny.

He can currently be found in a common room somewhere, lazing about on a couch. Living at the Mansion is making him gradually more and more lazy.

He won't mind being disturbed at all. He'd probably like it, actually. He's bored and wouldn't mind somebody to talk to.

We wonder how this will go. It could be very interesting.

The Doctor, however, is probably on his way back out to the TARDIS after another unfruitful day, muttering to himself in Portuguese, for some reason, about how frustrating this all is and how it really ought to fit together and is this the Time Lords? Shouldn't be, but the time manipulation and everything - the interference, though - and so on and so forth.

However, new people always catch his attention, and he pauses to glance at Agravain. "Well, hullo," he says, "You look terribly busy."

"Well, you know," Agravain says, lazily waving one hand in the air. "There are a lot of very important things for me to do around here."

"So I see," the Doctor says, "Care to tell me? I'm awfully curious about what everyone's up to. That's me, always curious. Also might be nice to have a bit of a task other than trying to work this place out, since it's so stubborn."

"Eating, sleeping, drinking," Agravain replies, casually. "Battling the occasional dragon."

[alwaysmovingon]

"Battling a dragon? Intriguing. Where? I seem to have missed the opportunity." There is something in his voice, half dubious and half pure innocence. The Doctor is not at all sure what to make of that.

Though he doesn't doubt that there could be something looking very much like a dragon somewhere about.

"Just outside the front of the house. It came at me out of nowhere. A big red thing."

Yes, he means Iskierka.

Said dragon would assuredly complain that's not how it happened. "Very interesting," the Doctor says, "I'll look into that, I suppose. Surprised no one else has mentioned it...you'd think a big red thing would be relatively obvious and - by that token - alarming."

"You would think so," Agravain agrees. "But it probably hides out in the woods while it waits to attack the unsuspecting."

[alwaysmovingon]

"Ah, well," the Doctor says, "I suppose it probably does. We'll see, we'll see. I'll investigate, in the meantime - lucky that we have people such as yourself to keep a keen eye out." His smile is very quick and very wide.

"So, then, other than battling dragons...would you care to help me conduct a small experiment?"

"Since you asked so kindly," Agravain replies, pulling himself up off the couch. "This isn't some sort of evil trick, is it?"

"Not at all," the Doctor says, looking very nearly offended. "Only a little minor test of some of this place's capabilities. I'm trying to work it out, see, and that requires a few questions that need answering, and I promise you that this one shouldn't be a bother to you at all."

"I had to be sure," Agravain replies, and squints slightly at the Doctor. "You look like the evil tricking type."

...the Doctor looks supremely offended by this. "I do?"

Agravain laughs, and typist willing, he'll pat the Doctor on the back a couple of times.

"You do. I think it's something to do with your eyebrows."

He's just trolling you. Try not to take it personally.

Typist is willing, though the Doctor is now giving Agravain a very serious sidelong look. Both bewildered and a little disgruntled. "Something to do with my eyebrows," he repeats. "Why, what do I do with them? That's...disconcerting."

He works so hard at being trustable!
