Here's someone who won't want you messing with the flora, Klingsor.

Galadriel is out, looking at the budding nature, smiling a little, because though she misses the eternal beautiful weather of Valinor, there is something heartening in spring's rebirth.

She'll be wary around the wizard, predictably.

Others will show up, I'm just slow at tagging into new places due to thesiatus. ♥

He's studying a forsythia bush that is still a mass of dormant twigs. He's collecting his strength, wondering if, in his condition, he can awaken the bush. He'll take a sprig between his fingertips and caresses it gently, while focusing on it intently...

Nothing happens for the moment. He stops and mutters under his breath, irritably.

Galadriel is still observing quietly - as any elf, she can be virtually undetectable if she so wishes, and that was indeed her wish.

A short moment later, though, she decides to make her presence known, and so there is a voice where before there was none, speaking softly enough.

"Good afternoon."

She might be spooky on purpose - sometimes it's hard to tell what's going on in the old elf's mind.

He jolts a bit at that gentle voice and turns to cast an icy glare over his shoulder in its direction. "And what makes it a good afternoon?" he asks, irritably.

Cranky warlock is cranky!

"We are alive and unthreatened," Galadriel replies evenly. "That is enough."

"I suppose that might suffice for some," he says, turning back to the bush and running a sprig through his fingertips, focusing his power, trying to awaken the buds.

A little bit of green starts to show in them, but nothing more. He curses under his breath acridly.

Galadriel observes - she can feel that there's ... something going on.

"The plant is healthy," she informs Klingsor. "Why are you disgruntled?"

"Because, my dear woman, I am trying to see if I still have the power to awaken this sprig," he says, irritably.

Galadriel takes a small step closer. "I am Galadriel," she informs Klingsor, and the way she says her name is as though it were a title. "And the sprig is well awake as it is."

"Still, it would ease my mind if I knew that I still had my strength," he says, seemingly unperturbed by her advance. He focuses his scant power again and manages to get one bud to turn green and start to unfurl, before he has to relent and relax for a moment.

Galadriel observes a bit longer, waits for him to be done.

She says nothing further.

Clearly, this Atan is... Other.

He relaxes, watching the leaves unfold. Their progress slows, then stops. He mutters, then prods the buds again, putting more of his will into it. More buds start to crack and unfurl, slowly turning green as the first few unfold into small leaves.

Galadriel frowns through her observation, tilts her head.

"You are impatient," she notes.

"This is but the tip of my talent," he says. "Were I strong enough, I could do more." He runs his fingertips over the leaflets and they fold up again.

"And what would you do, pray tell?" Galadriel is really not sure that she likes where this is going...

"I could transform a desert valley into a lush garden," he says. "I rebuilt a ruined castle, restoring it to its former glory." He's not about to mention the spell that's maintaining his appearance, since his...condition has affected it dramatically.
