If she ventures into the main room, she may spy a young man curled up on the window seat, clad in a vaguely Chinese looking black suit, his violet eyes intent as he pores over "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland", illustrated by some fellow named Mervyn Peake.

Typist finds this darkly amusing... former victim meeting the next.

Truth is all Misa wants to do is hole herself in her room and just... sleep. She's absolutely terrified of the hallways now at night, scared that someone may come out of the shadows and snatch her up like last time. (The strange singing voice that she heard sometime ago, doesn't help things.) Then again, she can't really sleep.

So have a tired Misa in pj's, Titus.

One of the points in punting him. That and Titus has been wicked loud...

He looks up from his book, smiling at her gently, but there is a sad quality to it. "Good evening, miss," he says.

"Hi." Misa isn't her normal, bubbily self.

Where's Light? Did he---no! She tries to focus on Titus though.

"Were you looking for something to read? I'm far from being the librarian, but I might be of some assistance," he says, rising and bowing to her. "I am Master Titus Groan."

Misa shakes her head. "No... Misa Amane."

For the first time in a long time, she doesn't feel like talking.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Miss Amane," he replies. Then with a note of concern, he asks, "You seem troubled. Is there something that is bothering you?"

Misa trembles a bit. She doesn't want to mention him, but she realizes that for the safety of the people in the mansion, she'll have to.

"...A lot."

"You can tell it to me, if you wish," he says. Then with a sad smile, he adds, "I have known my share of hardship in my time, as few as those years may be."

Misa simply looks at him. "No you don't..." (Not yet anyway...)

Titus nearly bristles at this response, but he restrains himself: she's clearly upset and he doesn't want to add to it. "I suppose we have all suffered in some ways, some more than others," he says. "If you are ready to speak of it, I would be honored if you unburdened your heart to me."

She takes a breath, this is still very hard to say.

"...I was killed."

He takes this in silence, then asks, delicately, "Who, might I ask, was the one who committed this crime against you?" There was a time when he would have suspected his not!brother, but those days are past.

She swallows saliva. "A man named Rudy Cooper."

He looks at her puzzled. "You must be mistaken: I know a man here by that name, a physician who examined me and offered some advice on how I should tend to myself and hasten my recovery," he says. Then again, the notion of a crazy, coldly sadistic doctor is foreign to him, since he's only known the daffy and kindly Dr. Prunesquallor.

Misa looks uncertain for a moment, there are many different people at the mansion, and chances are there could be doubles.

"Is he a tall but sort of slim man, slightly curly black hair, strange eyes, clean shaven, with a rather mundane fashion sense and with very distinct facial features?"

Say what you want about Misa's intelligence, but she does know how to describe a person.
