A bouncy introduction

It's sometime on New Year's Eve and a small blond boy comes dashing through the doorway to the main room of the Mansion. He has a pink toy rabbit in his arms and he looks very excited - so excited that he doesn't at first notice that he's in a different room to the one that he expected

He might spy a tall, rumpled man with violet eyes, carrying a good-sized box into the common room. But the stranger quickly sets the box aside, his pretty face concerned. "Whoa, hey there, little fella, are you lost?" he asks.

Hunny blinks, hesitates then asks, "Are you a new teacher?"

He thinks he must still be in Ouran High, just must have somehow ran through the wrong door...

Tsuzuki scooches down to the little fellow's level, to close the distance between them: the little guy isn't much bigger than Kazuza Otonashi. "New teacher? No, not exactly: I'm a student at the independent university here." He stops, realizing he's getting way ahead of himself. "You and your bunny must be brand new here. Welcome to the Mansion."

"Mansion...?" Hunny says hesitantly. "But this is not home..."

Tears are welling up in his eyes and he looks as if he's about to cry. "... Am I kidnapped?"

Hisoka notices the small blonde boy, and smiles. "Hello!" he says.

Hunny has wandered to the porch and is looking around curiously when he hears the voice. He smiles at Hisoka. "Hello. Do you live here?"

Hisoka has come out for a breath of fresh air. He returns the smile.

"Yes, I do. I'm Hisoka Kurosaki. Have you just arrived?"

Hunny nods. "I'm Mitsukuni Haninozuka - but everyone calls me Hunny!"

In the main room sometime later, a very formally dressed Frenchman can be found with his son sitting by the hearth. The man's legs are crossed as he sits with his back to the flames, just feet from the edge. The little boy sits in front of him and is playing with a live brown rabbit. He's enticing her to hop or stand on her back legs with chunks of carrot.

Armand notices Hunny, but since he seems to be another child, he doesn't seem to call up his protective attitude. Etienne doesn't notice him until his papa says, "Do you want to come meet Marigold?"

Hunny has noticed the real live bunny and is peering at Marigold intently when he's addressed. "Is that your bunny's name?" He's hugging his own toy close to his chest.

"It is," Armand says.

Etienne watches Hunny carefully. He's kind of jealously protective of Marigold. "She's not like your bunny. Don't hurt her."

Hunny puts on a sad, hurt face. "You think I would hurt your bunny...? I love bunnies! They're so cuuuute!" He laughs a little and crouches down to pet Marigold gently.

With his tail high in the air, Altra stalks imperiously up to Hunny and peers up into his eyes. He's a very astute cat, and something seems off about this apparent child.

"Kitty!" Hunny exclaims happily because pausing and staring. "... Did you say something?"

Altra nods, then strides forward until his nose bumps against Hunny's leg.

Hunny giggles. "Do you have a name, Kitty?"

Enide is curled up in a corner of the main room, sewing something. She likes children! A lot.

"Hello, child," she says, when she sees him.

He giggles. "Hello. Who are you?"

"I am Queen Enide of Farther Wales," she says with a smile, "What is your name?"

[hanihunny]

"My name is Haninozuka Mitsukuni but most people call me Hunny! Ooh, I've met a few princesses but not a queen!" He says brightly then ponders aloud: "Or do drag queens count?"
