Pascal usually haunts the library, but this time, he can be found in the kitchen, making tea.

He's looking as mussed and distracted as usual.

By now, Wolfram is feeling hungry and is hoping there's a cook at work in the kitchen, as he enters it. Spotting the man preparing tea, he approaches. "Is there a cook on staff here, or are you his assistant?" he asks.

At least he asked somewhat nicely.

Pascal blinks. ".... I beg your pardon?"

Pascal can't cook to save his life. He would live on bread, cheese and apples, if it weren't for the plothole.

"I have not eaten since I arrived here, and I am in need of a meal," he says, with a snippy matter of fact-ness. "If dinner is not served soon, I will still need to eat."

Pascal glances over to the young brat - he sounds like an aristo, and Pascal has little love for those.

"Feel free to fetch what you want from the plothole. No-one will stop you," he says, pointing to the magic cupboard. "And I would suggest that you ask nicely - it would be problematic if the plothole left in the middle of winter due to ruffled feathered."

"Hmf," Wolfram grunts, irritated and frankly at a loss as to how to react to the nerve of this man, who dares to speak to him like this.

But to be honest, he's thinking of Yuuri's mom and her incredibly tasty curry, and he wonders if that cabinet can give him a plate of it....

Pascal doesn't really care what you think, Wolfram - Pascal lives with Felix, the greatest drama queen the world ever bore.

He also is a moderated republican whose mother has been a bit too overbearing in his life. Authority, he does not take well to it. (Though mostly, he pretends not to notice it. He's very adept at that.)

Wolfram opens the cabinet door, and peers in: rather than a warm plate of curry and rice, he finds...a packet of uncooked rice, a packet of spices, some fresh vegetables and a brown paper packet of meat.

"What...is *THIS*?!" he snips.

Pascal peers over from his tea-cup. "Why, it looks like rice," he replies. "Bon appetit."

He is absolutely unperturbed.

"I can see that it is, but does this cabinet expect me to cook this myself?" he snips, slamming the cupboard door.

"Apparently," Pascal replies, and shrugs. "And if you break it, you should expect an angry mob," he adds, still pretty relaxed about it.

After all, he's not the one breaking plotholes. (And he has a boyfriend who can fix everything.)

Yeah, whatever, my boyfriend's a wizard is pretty much the order of the day.

Wolfram glares at Pascal, but some of the fire has gone out of it and he looks away a bit quicker than he really intends. "Is there not a cook in this house? A grand house like this should have someone in charge of cooking meals for those who do not know how," he asks, still a bit snootily, but less so than before.

"Not to my knowledge, non," Pascal replies. "If you are polite and friendly enough, maybe you will convince one of the ladies who live in the house to assist you, but you probably need to accept that they owe you no such thing, Monsieur."

"I could, if I had met more of them," he replies stiffly, but not confrontational.

"I suppose it's better late than never, then." Pascal stirs his tea, then puts his spoon away properly.

"Then who are these ladies who might be able to cook for me?" he asks, starting to get fussy-sounding. "Don't keep me waiting, I have not eaten all day."
