Iphigenia is currently in the common room, reading a history book. She yawns and turns the page, making a face. She's getting a little bored of it--surprise, surprise--and would enjoy any sort of company. Perhaps she might like a certain Earl (or a certain ~kitchen rat~; might as well include him, considering >.>) to come by, but she's not

Well how about a non-romantic big-brotherly figure, instead? Niko's wandering in and kind of confused (time travelers, wtf). But it kind of makes sense. Somehow. And he keeps on pouring over and under and sideways the questions because it's eating at his brain.

If Iphi stops him on his thoughtful way out, though, he certainly won't mind.

Iphi sees him, and waves hello. "Niko!" she says, glad to see him. "It's been a while."

Niko stops in his tracks. "Hey, Iphi -- sorry, didn't see you there." He angles toward her, of course.

"How've you been?" He gently reaches to ruffle her hair, like he would his little sister.

She squeaks as he does so, laughing.

"I've been well," she says, smiling broadly. "What about you?"

Of course Steerpike (oblivious to Iphigenia's infidelities, thankfully) will be happy to entertain her.

He comes by and bows, then looks at her interestedly, head tilted. "My lady - it has been a while, has it not?"

He's been busy making himself a scholar. So that he could be ~worthy~. (That's his excuse, anyway.)

She immediately looks up, closing her book. "It has, yes," she says, a blush spreading across her cheeks. "How have you been?"

He stands straight, the picture of academic seriousness.

"I have been held by my master's demands, alas. Pray forgive me, if I've neglected our -- time together."

[ohmaiden]

She nods very seriously. "Yes, I understand. I've missed you, but sometimes things are important."

11-12 walks in, looking much more relaxed and happier than the last time she saw him. He glances in curiosity at her book before noticing that she's bored.

"Isn't it very interesting?"

[ohmaiden]

She looks up. "It...was, but now I'm tired of it," she admits.

He sits down nearby. "I'm sure there are plenty of other books in the library. Do you read very often?"

[ohmaiden]

She nods, smiling. "I always read! I like to learn."

At some point, Titus enters, his face pale, but his violet eyes flushed with anger, his arms folded stiffly behind his back which is ramrod straight as he paces the floor, pausing by her chair and kneading his forehead with both hands as if he has a massive headache.

He looks like he's having the day from hell and in a sense, he is, since he swears his worst enemy has been released from that place and sent here specifically to torment him.

Iphigenia will notice him and his behavior soon enough, and she'll put the book down then, looking concerned.

"--Master Titus?"

He almost jumps at the sound of her voice, then manages a harassed sigh. "Forgive me for not greeting you sooner, Iphigenia, I've not had a very pleasant afternoon, I regret to admit," he says, haggardly. But at least he finds a chair close to her to plunk himself into, yet his face still looks like a mile of bad road.

Speaking of (former) princesses...

Utena comes in, shaking the sweat off her after her daily run. Despite how tired she is, she is always friendly to anyone.

[ohmaiden]

Iphigenia pauses for a moment in her reading, and looks up, smiling at Utena.

"Hello!" She waves a little.
