In the common room, one might notice a brand new sign. Not too far from it, two students. A tall and lanky young man (though he's almost in his 30s), with brown hair and gray eyes, and a small dark-haired young lady are sitting by a desk and chatting a touch feverishly.

Zillah smiles. "Exactly! Would you like to take a class?"

"I'm teaching political science, for example!" she says cheerily.

"--Why not?"

Paul is around - and actually listening, but for now, he's not interfering, as he wants to hear what this new fellow has to say.

He's scribbling notes in a notebook, absently.

Paul looks up. "Miss Katz has also an undergraduate degree in political science, which is almost completed," he's winging this, hoping Zillah will run with.

"She's quite the gifted theoretician, in fact." He stands, comes to give Enjolras a very North-American handshake, and gives him his full name.

"I am a history professor myself."

"I may be young, I guess..." Zillah says. "But I'm always trying to learn more."

Paul frowns at Enjolras. "I think coming from someone your age, it's fairly rich," he replies. "Besides, Miss Katz studied politics in a time period when much theory had been developed, which you would not know about, sir, if your accoutrement is any indication of your world of origin."

Yes, Paul is being protective and defensive of his friend. Loyal Paul is loyal.

She laughs a little, nervously. "Well, here I am!"

[only_paul]

"Then I strongly advise that you learn to appreciate and respect them, Mr. Enjolras," Paul replies with more spunk than he's used to displaying. "There are many, and there will be more and more as time passes."
